What are the classifications and working principles of crushers?

Common crushers used in mineral processing plants can be classified into the following types based on their construction:

1. Jaw Crusher: 

This type of crusher primarily crushes ore by periodically pressing a swinging jaw plate against a fixed jaw plate.

2. Cone Crusher: 

The material to be crushed is placed between two cones, an inner and an outer cone. The outer cone is fixed, while the inner cone moves in a circular motion, crushing or breaking the material trapped between them.

3. Roll Crusher: 

The material to be crushed is subjected to continuous crushing action within the gap between two opposing rollers, which also has an abrasive effect, thus breaking the ore. If the roller surfaces are toothed, the crushing action primarily involves splitting the ore.

4. Impact Crusher: 

The material to be crushed is broken by the impact of rapidly rotating moving parts.
