What is the working principle of a mining flotation machine?

A mining flotation machine, also called a mining impeller flotation machine, works as follows: The slurry is fed into the impeller through the inlet pipe. The centrifugal force generated by the swirling impeller propels the slurry into the flotation tank, creating a negative pressure under the cover plate. Air is automatically drawn in through the air inlet pipe. The drawn-in air mixes with the fed slurry above the impeller and is then thrown back into the tank, creating another negative pressure and drawing in more air, continuing this process continuously. In the slurry treated with reagents, the minerals to be floated are carried to the surface by air bubbles, forming a mineralized froth layer, which is then scraped off by a scraper to obtain concentrate. Minerals that do not float and gangue enter the intermediate chamber through gates on the side wall of the tank and are fed into the next flotation cell. The slurry level in each or several cells is adjusted by moving the gates up and down. This is how the slurry circulates within the machine.
