What is the working principle of a vibrating sluice?

A vibrating sluice is a placer gold beneficiation machine developed from a conventional fixed sluice.

Working principle: When the slurry enters the sluice, under the action of the water flow, light minerals and some fine-grained heavy minerals are rapidly carried across the sluice surface.

Simultaneously, the rubber plates at the bottom of the sluice are agitated up and down by a pulsating mechanism, creating a jigging-like effect. This agitation causes the heavy minerals to continuously loosen, stratify, and settle between the sluice's grids, eventually forming a heavy mineral layer. Gold, due to its higher density, gradually deposits between the grids at the bottom of the sluice under this action, achieving separation from the light minerals and some fine-grained heavy minerals.
