Celestine ore is a major and common strontium-containing mineral, and is currently the only industrial mineral used to produce strontium salts. Its main uses are in the manufacture of strontium carbonate and strontium nitrate. Therefore, celestine ore beneficiation machinery is particularly important.
Pure celestine is sky-blue and milky white, but often appears in various colors due to impurities; for example, it turns yellowish when contaminated with iron. It is rarely found as an independent mineral in nature, often containing calcium and barium as isomorphous substitutions. Those rich in barium are called barite-celestine, and those rich in calcium are called calcium-celestine. The structural morphology of celestine is very similar to that of barite, often appearing as thick plate-like or coarse-grained aggregates, or granular, fibrous, or nodular forms. Celestine is mostly of exogenous sedimentary origin, found in dolomite, limestone, and gypsum-containing clay and marl, and is often associated with gypsum, halite, and native sulfur. Celestine ore is currently the industrial mineral used to produce strontium salts, mainly for the manufacture of strontium sulfate and strontium nitrate. The celestine ore mentioned above is processed using beneficiation machinery. The strontium carbonate extracted by beneficiation machinery is a relatively important inorganic salt product. It was first used in refining cane sugar, and later in the manufacture of fireworks, metal refining, ceramics, and medicine. Currently, with the development of science and technology, strontium carbonate is mainly used in the electronics industry as a raw material for the screen glass of color television picture tubes and as a raw material for strontium magnetic materials, and its demand is increasing. Celestine ore beneficiation machinery is also being inquired about by more and more people.
