Operating Parameters of Gravity Separation Shaking Table

[2026-01-26 17:18:06]

The operating parameters of gravity separation shaking tables include: stroke, stroke frequency, feed volume, feed concentration, washing water volume, and bed lateral slope.

A. Stroke and Stroke Frequency

Stroke and stroke frequency together determine the velocity and acceleration of the bed surface, affecting the looseness and transport speed of the particle group. For processing coarse-grained ores with thicker beds, a larger stroke and smaller stroke frequency are required; the opposite is true for processing fine-grained ores and slime.

B. Bed lateral slope and washing water volume

These are two parameters that are frequently adjusted during operation. Increasing the lateral slope and washing water volume can increase the lateral movement velocity of the ore particles, but increasing the washing water volume can also enhance selective separation. Generally, roughing or scavenging operations use a "large slope, small water" approach, while cleaning operations use a "small slope, large water" approach.

C. Feed Concentration, Feed Volume, and Processing Capacity

Feed volume affects the flow rate of the slurry on the bed surface. As the feed volume increases, the concentrate recovery rate decreases, and tailings loss increases. Increasing the feed concentration thickens the solids layer, reduces the stratification rate, and lowers the concentrate recovery rate, but the tailings loss remains relatively unchanged, with a significant amount of metal entering the middlings. Appropriately controlling the feed volume and increasing the feed concentration during production can improve processing capacity.
